I love the holidays, because it’s an excuse to decorate cookies and buy Japanese paper. Here are a few of my handmade cards!
On Thursday night, I set up shop at The Gladstone for the LUST pop-up party and Friday sale. There were a range of vendors and a ton of gift ideas. House of Groves and Chloe Comme Parris showed their wares, Fortnight had lingerie, Jessica Jensen brought leather goods, there were jewelry designers, Lovefresh creams, makeup, and even freshly baked short bread.
Jennifer Waters of House of Groves in one of her amazing boleros. She uses only the best materials – soft cashmere, supple leather, and lace – and her cuts are really flattering.
Loved Adria’s thigh highs
Curtis Santiago performed a great set on opening night.
I can’t believe that the leather band jacket is still around. So good!
Karina got a cozy sheepskin hat from my collection and Kaitlin wore the Xena belt that she scored last week, while I was selling at Chasse.
Miles got a chic black rabbit coat from me.
Happy socks and Super sunglasses
I was sad to see these Victorian style boots go, but at least they went to my sister!
Down time with my friends and colleagues
I hosted a cocktail party at Chasse Gardée on Thursday to celebrate my pop-up boutique this weekend.
Jordana designed a great line of reworked vintage jewelry for the event that included cap gun pendant necklaces and salt and pepper shaker earrings.
My girlfriend Claire Chackowicz of I Deal Pies catered the event. She made pepper crostinis, mini quiches, bite sized falafel wraps, and unreal chocolate tarts! Her delicious treats are available at the Dufferin Grove Farmers’ Market every Thursday.
