Last Friday, during the last day of Fashion Week, I was hanging around the tents between shows and my girlfriend Briony ran up to me. “Stacey McKenzie is obsessed with my jewellery from your store. Come meet her.” Thirty minutes later, I was backstage looking at the supermodel’s teal Arthur Mendonça dress for that evening’s closing Dare to Wear Love fashion show. “I don’t know how to style this. Can we go to your shop?”
With only two hours to go, we jumped in a car and rushed to the boutique. I poured a couple sparkling gin lemonades and quickly tore through the collection. I decided on oversized gold half moon earrings from Italy, an oxblood velvet Swarovski purse, and Arthur Mendonça wedges. We rushed back to the tents, Stacey got her hair done, and she was front row with five minutes to spare.
Not only are we great friends, but Jaclyn is an amazing fashion photographer. We’re shooting my look book tomorrow. So excited!
This picture was snapped by Sidewalk Hustle outside of the shows this past Thursday. I was wearing a 1980s rhinestone necklace, 1960s paisley jacket, 1970s Giorgio Armani silk blouse that was my mum’s, Wilfred pants, Aldo shoes, and purse from Winners.
