The Globe and Mail today features a lovely vintage bridal spread that includes our 1960s embroidered daisy dress and 1960s beaded tassel earrings (above) as well as a lace trimmed veil (below).
Allison came to me earlier this year, because she needed a gown for her tea ceremony, but she didn’t want anything that was too traditional. So, we incorporated elements like the Mandarin collar and fitted bodice, but there was also a touch of old Hollywood glamour. We created a beautiful illusion bodice with silk covered buttons and the column skirt was designed to perfectly compliment the height of her YSL red pumps. I love the balance of East and West!

Steph was our first custom bride last year – she was the first to believe in us – so it was extra special, when she married Illya last weekend. They had a romantic, vintage-inspired wedding at Artscape Gibraltar Point on the Toronto Islands, which couldn’t have been more picturesque. Every little detail was beautiful, including the whimsical Coriander Girl flowers. Big hugs to you both!
